Multiple Google Calendar and Gmail sync support added to Windows Phone 7.5

Google Sync on Windows Phone

Multiple Google Calendar and better Gmail sync has finally rolled out for the Windows Phone 7.5 mobile platform. This will work as an organizer for several Mango OS owners who prefer using Google Calendar and emails, especially on their handset.

The service can be availed of by accessing the Google sync mobile page. After logging in, customers will require to specify their device as well as which Calendars they would want to add. The maximum number of planners that are allowed to be synced is 25. After the settings are saved, the gadget will connect with Google servers every 30 minutes by default. The official Windows Phone blog conveys that the Calendars won’t show up unless the next sync is done.

“We launched a few new features on Google Sync for our Windows Phone (7.5+) users. Multiple Calendars is a feature that lets you select which of your Google Calendars are synced to your device. Just navigate to m.google.com/sync on your phone’s browser and configure the calendars you would like to see. From that page, you can also configure which addresses you send mail as if you have custom addresses in Gmail. We’ve also improved search to look beyond the conversations that are stored locally on your device so that you are able to find more of your conversations, faster,” posted Li Yin, Google sync team on the official Google+ Gmail page.

The 30 minutes default setting can also be avoided if users opt for manual syncs. Apart from this, another feature introduced by Google concerns Gmail messages. With this upgrade, it will now be easier for handset owners to search for the emails that haven’t been downloaded on the mobile device yet.

Multiple Google Calendar and enhanced Gmail sync can now be accessed directly on smartphones running Windows Phone 7.5.
