The MSI Wind Top AE2281/AE2281G AIO PC is said to be the next step in the ‘audiovisual entertainment experience’ evolution. To back that up, the company has thrown in a full HD display panel, third generation Intel Core processors and discrete-class GeForce graphics from Nvidia.
Built with a slim form factor, this rig is designed with military-grade parts and components including MIL-STD-810G certified SFC, solid state capacitors, and Hi-c Cap for enhanced power efficiency. Running on the inside, the Quick Fix self-maintenance software allows users to troubleshoot problems and issues encountered with the system. Moreover, it automatically checks for driver updates and downloads them when available.
Powering up this rig is an Ivy Bridge-based quad core Intel Core i5 3450S processor clocked at 2.8GHz. The AE2281 version comes with the integrated Intel HD Graphics 2500 GPU, while the AE2281G variant packs in options of either 1GB or 2GB Nvidia GeForce GT630M units. On the memory front, the AIO incorporates 4GB of DDR3 RAM which is upgradable up to 8GB, and a 3.5-inch 500GB HDD operating at 7200RPM. A 17.3-inch full HD LED backlit display sits on the front, portraying resolutions of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
Other components fitted within dimensions of 555.1mm x 404.98mm x 66.46mm are a 5.1 channel speaker system with THX TruStudio Pro, a 6-in-1 card reader, USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI output and much more. Weighing a total of 9.3kgs, the desktop also has 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity and a 10/100/1000 LAN port.
The MSI Wind Top AE2281/AE2281G release date and price details haven’t been officially unveiled by the company as yet.
