Here to claim the title of the world’s thinnest in the 17-inch segment is the MSI GS70 which has been formally unveiled along with a hefty price. This latest gaming rig from MSI has launched a couple of months after the company announced the GE40, GE70 and GE60 notebooks along with the flagship GT70 Dragon Edition 2, the GT60 3K Edition which boast of a WQHD+ display and the GS70 Stealth.
For the price being asked for the MSI GS70, the notebook offers a great deal of powerful hardware into a slim and lightweight form factor. Like all new generation notebooks, this one runs on Windows 8 with an optional upgrade to the Pro version. To provide a bang for every buck, the MSI GS70 is designed with a Core i7-4700HQ processor clocked at 2.4GHz, a GeForce GTX 765M GPU and 16GB of DDR3L RAM.
The laptop not only has the necessary power to run almost all demanding games, but also the components for a rich experience. The company has dressed the system with a SteelSeries full-color backlit keyboard that sports Anti-Ghosting keys, Killer DoubleShot (Wi-FI, LAN and Bluetooth) connectivity and a 17.3-inch FHD Matrix display. The MSI GS70 can be connected to 3 external displays through HDMI and mDP ports and it supports up to 4k resolution.
