MSI GS60 Ghost Pro crams gaming goodness and a ‘3K’ display in a small package

Over at the ongoing CeBIT in Germany, MSI has surprised many by unveiling the GS60 Ghost Pro that’s pretty high on technological attributes but low on size and weight. With its focus set on offering high-quality gaming and visual experiences, this laptop from the Taiwanese brand will be released sometime in April with its price tagged at around the $2,200 mark.

The MSI GS60 Ghost Pro houses an unannounced GPU from Nvidia. As revealed by Engadget which is present at the event, representatives of the company were mum about the new graphics chip, but there are high possibilities of the GPU being based on Nvidia’s Maxwell architecture.

Another important detail about this piece of hardware is that you can opt for a ‘3K’ display to be placed underneath its 15.6-inch. This panel will offer a resolution of 2880 x 1620 pixels. As far as the dimensions of the MSI GS60 Ghost Pro are concerned, it can be noted that it happens to be just 19.5mm in thickness. Moreover, it weighs in at just 1.99kgs.

Buyers of this notebook will be able to customize it with a maximum of a Core i7 processor. Moreover, dual SSD storage, additional HDD storage, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and more will also be made available with it.

The MSI GS60 Ghost Pro will be priced between €1,600 and €2,000 depending on the chosen specs. This laptop will start shipping next month, so expect the announcement of Nvidia’s new GPUs soon.
