Motorola Moto X goes on sale in India tomorrow for Rs 23,999

The wait is over: Flipkart has just announced that it will start offering the Motorola Moto X smartphone from tomorrow onwards. The handset is priced at Rs 23,999 and it will be available exclusively through the retailer in question. Additionally, various offers will be made available when purchasing the device online.

When you order the Moto X on EMI, you get Rs 1,000 as cash back. Also, 10 lucky customers will be entitled to 100% cash back. The retailer is even offering huge discounts on accessories. You’ll be able to pick up cases for the smartphone with a 70% discount. The aforementioned price is for the 16GB model and it doesn’t look like the retailer will be stocking on the 32GB variant anytime soon.

The Motorola Moto X is one of the most customizable smartphones available. In the US (and soon Europe), the handset can be given a custom paint job through the Moto Maker online tool. This web app will, however, not be available in India. Flipkart has confirmed that the smartphone will arrive in multiple color options of black, white, blue, cyan and red, albeit only the first and second shades will be available tomorrow. The other choices will be in stock during the second week of April. What’s more, wooden options of teak and walnut will also be up for grabs. These models will sell for Rs 25,999.

Here are the main specifications of the smartphone:

– Android 4.4 KitKat
– 4.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass
– 1.7GHz dual core Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU
– 2GB RAM, 16GB storage
– 10MP rear camera
– 2200mAh battery
– Touchless Control

Flipkart hasn’t announced any specific timing when it will start offering the Motorola Moto X, so be sure to keep a close watch on the retailer’s website if you’re looking to reserve a unit or two from the first batch.
