Motorola Moto X costs Rs 31999 and is ready to go on sale via Flipkart from midnight

Motorola India has finally spilled the beans on the price and availability details for the second generation Moto X smartphone. The new flagship will go on sale from midnight exclusively through Flipkart carrying a retail tag of Rs 31999.

The said price is quite reasonable and it isn’t much higher as compared to the $499.99 unlocked amount in the US. This also makes the smartphone one of the most affordable flagships in the country. We expect to see the bamboo white and leather options be made available at midnight too and you’ll probably have to shell out a little extra cash for the premium designs.

The fresh Motorola Moto X is a huge upgrade over its predecessor. The phone comes with a larger display of 5.2 inches with 1080p visuals and offers beefy hardware such as a 2.5GHz quad core Snapdragon 801 processor and 2GB of RAM.

Storage options remain the same at 16GB and 32GB, but it seems like only the former version will be doled out in India. Additionally, the company has thrown in a 13MP rear camera with dual LED flash and a 2MP front snapper. What’s disappointing is that the battery is just 2300mAh, while the competition has higher capacity cells.
