Apparently, the next Motorola device will be dubbed Moto G as the Google owned company recently acquired the trademark, a listing has revealed. Although we know what the gadget will be called, we are not sure if it is a phone also or not considering that the name is all that has surfaced on the web as yet.
The guys over at Phandroid managed to lay their hands on a document that revealed the said trademark and it lists Motorola as the applicant. This application was filed on October 15, 2013. Although this website has no other information concerning the mysterious device, newscellphonesblog.com reports that Houdabao has disclosed through the Sina Weibo account that it is nothing but the Motorola DVX that was leaked a few days back.
Another speculation is that the Moto G is actually the Moto X with the stock Android Jelly Bean OS. And the latter will go by this name when it hits the Google Play store. But of course, there’s no confirmation regarding this piece of information either.
As for the DVX, we recently came across some of its purported specifications and even price details. It is said to be fitted with a 4.5-inch touchscreen and a removable back cover for personalization purposes. The handset could rock a 1.7GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor along with the Adreno 320 GPU and should feature nothing less than the Jelly Bean platform. Moreover, it may also have dual SIM card slots.
Nothing has been officially divulged regarding the Moto G, but we will be back with more information as soon as we get it.
