It looks like Motorola is working on a buffed up version of its most successful smartphone and it plans on calling it the Moto G Forte. While the name suggests the same as well, the handset is rumored to be headed to Latin America carrying a durable form factor.
For those wondering whether the Motorola Moto G Forte will be exclusive to Latin America or be available globally, there’s no information on that front as yet. And the information that we know so far comes through EvLeaks who managed to get hold of a banner image showing the phone and its branding. By the looks of it, the Forte will have extra protective covering, making it bulkier than the original.

The exact details of what exterior protection the smartphone will have isn’t certain and we may be looking at a water- and dust-resistant design as well, but that’s just speculation. What you can be sure of is that the specifications won’t be different on the Motorola Moto G Forte, considering that it’s a design upgrade. So it’s safe to assume that the handset will have the same 4.5-inch HD display with a Snapdragon 400 processor doing the heavy lifting.
Here are the main specs of the Moto G:
– Platform: Android 4.4 KitKat
– Display: 4.5-inch HD LCD
– Processor: 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400, quad core
– Connectivity: HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n
– Battery: 2070mAh
– Camera: 5MP rear
