Nextel thinks its customers would fancy a white Motorola i867w and that’s exactly what they’re getting, with the device already available for purchase. The push-to-talk smartphone is apparently crafted ‘for people with style and a lot to communicate.’
The Motorola handset sports a 3.1-inch touch display that delivers content in an HVGA resolution of 320 X 480p. Its back panel is dotted by a 3MP camera featuring 4x digital zoom and it plays host to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v2.1 + EDR as well as a micro-USB port, in terms of connectivity. Unfortunately, the phone will only be chugging along on Android 2.1 or Éclair.
“The Motorola i867w has a differentiated design that combines elegance with rapid communication,” expressed Wagner Mendonça, iDEN sales director, Motorola Mobility Brazil. “Whether you choose the i867 for work, play, or both, the Motorola i867 lets you manage it all with best-in-class PTT and Android mobile technology.”
The smartphone has an in-built MP3 player that is complimented by a 3.5mm headphone jack. It comes with a 2GB microSDHC memory card which can be chucked away for a 32GB one for additional data hoarding needs. Weighing in at around 129g, the device is claimed to deliver roughly 210 minutes of talk time and 100 hours of standby time.
There are 5 customizable display screens to keep those apps within reach and since the i867w runs on Android, we need hardly mention that users get access to Google Play. The virtual keypad is supported by Swype for typing ease and a Nextel-specific service proffered with the device is an email application which accommodates 1 corporate and up to 10 personal accounts.
The white Motorola i867w price is R$899 and it’s selling in Brazil through Nextel.
