The Motorola Droid Razr M Verizon price and release date have been spelled out and the handset is already up for pre-order through the official website. This latest member of the Droid range has been accompanied by a couple of other devices, namely – the Razr HD and the Razr Maxx HD.
Needless to say, this Motorola phone will run on the carrier’s 4G LTE network. It builds up on the success of its predecessors and continues to adopt the Razr design, but is said to be narrower than the original Droid. The compact smartphone in question flaunts an edge-to-edge 960 x 540p Super AMOLED Advanced display that offers a multi-touch real estate of 4.3 inches.
The Kevlar-reinforced ‘full-screen’ handset drenched in shades of black or white, features a water-resistant nanocoating to withstand spills and splashes. Its touchscreen is resistant to scrapes and scratches, thanks to Corning Gorilla Glass. Additionally, this global-ready phone has been pre-loaded with the Google Chrome browser as well as SmartActions to ensure a relatively long power life.
Fueled by a dual core processor that ticks at 1.5GHz and 1GB RAM, it gorges on the Ice Cream Sandwich platform. Although it ships with 8GB internal memory, the embedded expansion slot allows increasing the storage capacity by up to 32GB using a microSD card. The smartphone tags along an 8MP rear-facing camera and a 0.3MP front-mounted webcam along with a 2000mAh battery, capable of providing usage time of up to 20 hours.
The Motorola Droid Razr M Verizon price and release date are $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and September 13, respectively. It can now be pre-ordered through the official company website and requires a two-year customer agreement along with a qualifying data plan.
