The new Motorola Moto E is coming soon to India and while we already know that from over a week now, the company has only just confirmed that the official launch will take place on March 10. Invites to the event have started rolling out and they clearly show the latest device.
The Motorola Moto E 2015 went official just a week back and it recently went on sale in the US for $150. Two models of the smartphone were unveiled, one for 3G markets and the other with 4G radios for LTE destinations. While both devices are fairly similar, they do have a few different components. The former handset will be powered by a 1.2GHz quad core Snapdragon 200 SOC, while the latter will feature the much newer 64-bit Snapdragon 410 chipset.
In India, we can confirm that the 3G model will be making its debut first and Motorola has already disclosed its price which is Rs 6999. The LTE option, on the other handset, is yet to be confirmed for launch in the country and it’ll most likely arrive at a later date. Despite two different processors being onboard, both phones run Android 5.0 Lollipop with a near stock experience.
The Moto E 2015 handset is a decent upgrade over the previous model. The phone is much larger now featuring a 4.5-inch qHD display and it also packs a huge battery of 2390mAh. The RAM still remains at 1GB, but the internal storage has been doubled to 8GB. You also get a better 5MP rear camera and a snapper for making video calls.
