Shortly after publishing an in-depth look at the specs of the Moto X4, reliable leakster Evan Blass has now come out with the first proper image of the handset. Separately, Motorola held an event in Ghana recently showing off a couple of Moto Mods concepts.
The Moto X4 in the image up top is a bit different from the one seen in a presentation slide a few weeks ago. While the former’s dual-LED flash unit can be seen below the dual cameras, the latter’s component was placed above the lenses. The two look identical except for this discrepancy.
As for the new Moto Mods, Motorola had offered a sneak peak at 6 of them a few days ago. The brand initially uploaded a video of the concepts at the time, but has since taken it down. Starting off with the Moto 360 Camera Mod, the accessory will be able to capture 360-degree footage and livestream it to platforms like Facebook and Instagram.
It uses two wide-angle cameras situated on both sides of a large cylinder situated above the frame to do so. The next pair of add-ons are both collaborations with famed audio company Marshall namely a ROKR Mod and Studio Mod. The former serves as a speaker, while the latter is a microphone to record high-quality music.

Next up is a DirecTV Mod which lets users plug in their DirecTV streaming stick to their Moto phone, allowing them to watch live TV. There’s also a DSLR Mod and Action Mod to target photographers, with the first allowing them to directly attach a real DSLR lens to their handset and the second helping them break free of their GoPro to record outdoor sports via a rotatable camera.
It should be noted that the Moto Mods discussed above are all concepts and may never make it to market. Still, its existence at least proves that Motorola is still working on releasing new Mods every year.
