Following the success of the highly affordable Moto G smartphone, Motorola will soon launch its flagship Moto X in India. The company officially announced the handset’s arrival a couple of weeks back and now, Flipkart has disclosed that it will sell the handset exclusively at launch just like the former device.
There’s still no official word on when the Motorola Moto X will go official in India, but judging by the latest tweet from Flipkart, that day doesn’t look to be far off. Also, Motorola previously noted that we would see the flagship go official in a few weeks time. The online retailer states that further details about the launch will be revealed in a couple of days.

The Motorola Moto X is known for its high customization options. Sadly, potential buyers in India will only be treated to 5 different shades as the Moto Maker tool will not be accessible. On the bright side, two wooden back options will be made available, namely teak and walnut. The smartphone falls in the mid-range segment, but it has some pretty nifty features. The always-on Touchless Control allows you to control the handset through voice commands without laying a finger on it. This is made possible owning to the Motorola X8 custom chipset.
Main specifications of the Moto X:
– Android 4.4 KitKat
– 1.7GHz dual core Snapdragon S4 Pro
– 2GB RAM
– 16GB/32GB storage options
– 4.7-inch HD Super AMOLED display
– 10MP rear camera
– 2200mAh battery with 24 hours of mixed usage
The Motorola Moto X should retail somewhere around the Rs 25,000 mark. Official price and release date details are just days away, so stay tuned.
