Moto X software update with enhanced camera performance arrives on AT&T

Following T-Mobile and Sprint, AT&T has now started to roll out an update for the Moto X smartphone. The latest firmware is said to bring several improvements to the camera and the Touchless Control attribute.

Based on the details provided by AT&T, the camera will now have enhanced auto-white balance performance and better color accuracy. For obtaining clearer low-light and outdoor images, the exposure has been improved and so is the time required for the camera to focus on a subject. Apart from these, the update enables a better experience with Touchless Control and the Motorola Migrate application.

The Moto X is one of the most customizable smartphones available. Buyers can chose which colors they want, engrave a message on the rear and even opt for a wooden form factor. Where specifications are concerned, the handset caters to the mid-range carrying a dual core 1.7GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU, 2GB of RAM, a 4.7-inch 720p HD screen and a 10MP camera.

The Moto X smartphone is said to be the first that’s fully made and assembled in the US itself. According to a previous report, each unit is said to cost just $226. Additionally, the device has gone on sale through every major carrier in the country and some are even offering it discounted. There’s no word on whether Motorola will launch the phone globally, but a cheaper version dubbed DVX, has been rumored.

Back to the topic at hand, the update should pop up automatically in the notifications drop-down. If not, you can manually search for it through the System Updates tab in the Settings menu under About Phone.
