We’ve been greeted by lots of Moto X Force leaks and rumors in the past, and we have just chanced upon a pretty big one now. It has been revealed that the upcoming ‘shatterproof’ smartphone will be released in the US exclusively by Verizon as the Droid Turbo 2.
That’s good as well as bad news, depending on the carrier loyalties of those residing in the country. For those who are loyal to Verizon, the Droid Turbo 2 will definitely be a great option to consider. However, this means that those on other carriers won’t be able to buy the Moto X Force at all.
Motorola had followed a similar pattern last year with its Droid Turbo which was sold in the US exclusively through Verizon, but wasn’t available through other network providers despite having entered other parts of the globe as the Moto Turbo or the Moto Maxx. Another piece of information about the Turbo 2 that has just come out is that it will be released as early as this October.
This detail has been disclosed by the @upleaks Twitter account. While the Moto X Force has still supposedly been scheduled to arrive in global markets this December, its Verizon-exclusive Droid Turbo 2 variant will be made available in October, according to the report.
Motorola is said to have granted this handset an MIL-STD rating which will make it a really tough device. It has apparently been fitted with a 5.43-inch Quad HD monitor, a 21MP main camera, a 5MP front snapper, a Snapdragon 810 and 3GB of RAM.

We’ve heard in the past that the Moto X Force or the Droid Turbo 2 will have its price set at somewhere around $630 or Rs 41800.
