Motorola has finally brought the Moto G6 Plus to India, several months after the phone made its international debut back in April 2018. The handset is a bit late to the party, especially considering the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play arrived in the country in June.
Whatever the reason for the delay, the Moto G6 Plus is now open for business. You can buy it via retail stores, Moto Hubs, or Amazon India priced at Rs 22499. This is a bit steep compared to the Moto G6 which costs Rs 15999 and the Moto G6 Play which goes for Rs 11999.
Moto G6 Plus Price Comparison
The Moto G6 Plus is also a bit more expensive than rivals like the Rs 15999 Nokia 6.1 Plus and Rs 14999 Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, both of which run on the Snapdragon 636 processor. In comparison, the Moto G6 Plus has an older Snapdragon 630 SoC ticking away inside.
Motorola has made some changes to the smartphone since its global launch. For one, the device is landing in India only in a 6GB avatar. For another, the selfie camera has gotten a bump up from 8MP to 16MP. The dual 12MP + 5MP rear shooters are the same, equipped with an f/1.7 aperture, a smart camera system, and Dual Autofocus Pixel technology.
