Targeted towards hardened fitness buffs, the new Moto 360 Sport is finally ready to enter the fray now, even as its release date details for important markets have been revealed by Motorola. This Android Wear gadget will first be seen landing in the UK and France on December 18. Its pricing in these regions still hasn’t been disclosed.
The Moto 360 Sport will next be seen making its way into the US on January 7, carrying a price tag of $299. It will first be sold online though Motorola’s website and select other retailers, while it will land in Best Buy outlets on December 10. It’s only after this launch that the smartwatch will start entering Brazil, Canada, China, Mexico and Spain.
The new Moto 360 Sport features built-in GPS, allowing you to leave your smartphone at home during your workouts. Its other highlights include the incorporation of a heart rate monitor and a music player. Moreover, it even boasts of an ‘Anylight’ display which is a hybrid panel that offers exquisite outdoor visibility by reflecting natural sunlight.
This new offering from Motorola comes in black, white and orange color options. It carries inside it a 300mAh battery pack, and runs on 1.2GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor that’s paired with an Adreno 305 GPU and 512MB worth of RAM. 4GB worth of internal space is also on offer, aside from a 1.37-inch circular display with a pixel density count of 263ppi.
