Moto 360 (2nd Gen) breaks free of Flipkart, now available via Amazon India

It’s been little over a month since the Moto 360 (2nd Gen) had arrived in India and Motorola has now decided to break the exclusivity deal it had with Flipkart and Myntra to sell the smartwatch. The wearable is now open for orders via Amazon, with the site stating that the device will be in stock by January 8.

Only the men’s collection of the Moto 360 (2nd Gen) is currently up for sale on Amazon. Motorola has additionally introduced a new 46mm Cognac Leather variant of the device which can only be bought via the e-commerce site. While this model is priced at Rs 20999, there’s also a smaller 42mm version for Rs 19999.

Other units up for purchase include the 42mm Black Leather Band, which sets potential buyers back by Rs 19999, and the 46mm Black Metal Bracelet, the most expensive of the lot at Rs 23999. All the variants of the Moto 360 (2nd Gen) feature the same core set of specifications with a few differences.

The 42mm version of the Motorola offering comes with a 1.37-inch display sporting a resolution of 360 x 325p and a pixel density of 263ppi. It derives its power from a 400mAh battery, which is supposed to last for 2 days of utilization. On the other hand, the 46mm model carries a 1.56-inch 360 x 330p screen with a pixel resolution of 233ppi and a 300mAh battery for a day’s worth of usage.

Motorola has toughened up the gadget by equipping it with Gorilla Glass 3 and IP67 certification. The latter guarantees the smartwatch won’t let any dust in and can survive for up to 30 feet underwater for 30 minutes. It’s also blessed it with an optical heart rate monitor and the Android Wear OS.
