Xiaomi, confident in the idea that it’s not hard to please budget smartphone users, has launched the Redmi 8A Dual with slightly better specs than the Redmi 8A’s which was released in September 2019. In addition to this, the company has also unveiled the Redmi 10,000mAh and 20,000mAh power banks with fast charging capabilities.
The Redmi 8A Dual price points don’t come as a surprise – it’s Rs 6,499 for the 2GB RAM + 32GB ROM variant, and Rs 6,999 for the 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM version. The phone will be available for purchase on Amazon India and Mi.com starting February 18.
The 10000mAh Xiaomi Redmi power bank with 10W output charging support costs Rs 799, while the 20000mAh Redmi power bank (18W charging capacity) is pegged at Rs 1,499. Both will be out on Mi.com on February 18. They integrate two regular USB ports, a microUSB port and a USB Type-C port.
Xiaomi Redmi 8A Dual smartphone specifications:
The Redmi 8A Dual is different from the Redmi 8A in three major ways. Firstly, the newer phone has a 13MP main camera as compared to a 12MP one. This is supported by a 2MP depth sensor, explaining the ‘Dual’ in the device’s name. The polycarbonate rear panel has been updated with a P2i splash-resistant coating and a ‘grippier’ texture.
Apart from these aspects, the specifications stay the same, lending credence to the suspicion that Xiaomi timed the unveiling to meet Realme’s challenge. Gotta keep reinventing yourself to stay in the game, fellas. Here’s a quick look at the main features of the Redmi 8A Dual –
