The Motorola One and Motorola One Power have just gone official after months of leaks and sightings online. The pair are the first to come out of the new One series, focusing on Google’s Android One program which promises at least 2 years of OS updates and 3 years of monthly security patches.

In fact, Motorola says the One family will be among the first to get the promotion to Android 9.0 Pie. The brand’s also integrated Google Lens directly into the camera so users can point the snapper at something like a dog or landmark and have Google figure out what it is.

Motorola One vs Motorola One Power

The Motorola One and Motorola One Power look similar at first sight, but there are a couple of major differences. The former has a glass back and keeps its dual 13MP cameras separated. It also has a 5.9-inch HD+ 19:9 Max Vision screen with a sizable notch which houses the 8MP selfie shooter.

Android phones have lately embraced having a cutout on the display, making Motorola just the latest brand to hop on the trend. Bezels are fairly narrow on the sides, but there’s enough left at the bottom to fit in the “motorola” branding.
