OnePlus is preparing two phones for release next year, with one a direct sequel to the OnePlus 6T (likely the OnePlus 7) and the second a 5G device. The latter is set to be its own separate series, most likely because of how expensive it’s going to be.

5G OnePlus Phone Price

A new Fudzilla report has now revealed just how much more expensive the 5G OnePlus smartphone is going to be. As per people close to the matter, it’ll cost around $649/€649 which translates to roughly Rs 46248. In comparison, the OnePlus 6T starts at $549 or Rs 37999.

There’s no word on how much the OnePlus 7 will be priced at. Going by the company’s past patterns, it’ll probably be costlier than its predecessor, although not as costly as the 5G OnePlus device. Asking for $100 extra makes sense because of the new network standard, but it remains to be seen if people are willing to pay a premium for faster speeds.

OnePlus is partnering with Qualcomm for this 5G offering. The latter’s Snapdragon X50 5G NR modem is going to be the brains behind 5G connectivity in the phone. The Snapdragon 855 processor will probably be behind the scenes powering all this.

We don’t know anything about the 5G OnePlus handset’s design or specs yet. It could adopt a wholly different look since it’s not related to the main flagship series which the brand churns out every year. There’s no specific date set for it yet, but the firm’s CEO has confirmed that it’ll be out in the first half of 2019.

Meanwhile, the OnePlus 7 is going to stick to 4G LTE. We don’t know a whole lot about this device either. Stay tuned for new information on both smartphones as 2019 gets closer.
