Vivo has come out with its second under-display fingerprint scanning phone, or technically third if you count the as-yet-unreleased Apex. The new X21 arrives on the heels of the X20 Plus UD with an upgraded list of specs.
The Vivo X21 will be sold in 2 variants, with one featuring a rear-facing fingerprint scanner and the other an in-display fingerprint scanner. The regular one is priced at CNY 2898 (roughly Rs 29900) for the 64GB option and CNY 3198 (approx Rs 33000) for the 128GB one. The special X21 UD version is available only in a 128GB model at CNY 3598 (about Rs 37100).
The X21 actually looks pretty similar to the notched Oppo R15, which in turn looks just like the iPhone X. Vivo has even aped the vertical alignment of the dual rear 12MP + 5MP cameras. The company has further included a Face Wake 2.0 tool with 3D mapping and IR light to unlock the phone.

Vivo, Oppo, and OnePlus are all owned by the same brand, BBK Electronics. Given the similarity between the first pair’s most recent phones, many are assuming that the last will adopt a similar design for the OnePlus 6. Some strong evidence has arrived to back up this theory, so don’t be surprised if this notch-happy style shows up again for a third time at some point in June.
