Word of a budget Pixel has been making the rounds lately and now a report out of Russia has managed to obtain photos of the mysterious device. It resembles the Pixel 3 in terms of looks thanks to its lack of notches and thick bezels.
Some are calling it the Pixel 3 Lite. Google reportedly refers to it as Sargo internally. An anonymous source sent the images and specs to Rozetked, so it’s not clear how authentic the leak is. The power button is a bright yellow, something not seen in the official Pixel 3 line.
Another aspect not seen in the Google series – a 3.5mm headphone jack. The part’s been sorely missed in the regular lineup, so it’s a surprise to see it here. It makes sense to include it in a budget model since not everyone has Bluetooth headphones.
Google Pixel 3 Lite Headphone Specs
The so-called Pixel 3 Lite apparently has a 5.56-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2220 x 1080p. There appears to be a Snapdragon 670 processor running inside, along with a 2915mAh battery, 32GB of storage, and 4GB of RAM. There’s no microSD card slot, which is surprising since most mid-range phones do have one.
32GB of storage is fairly less, especially if the rumored $400 – $500 (approx Rs 28638 – Rs 35798) price is true. The photography system might make up for this since the 12MP camera is apparently of the same quality as the Pixel 3. The latter’s images are drawing a lot of praise, especially for low-light photos.
Google could release the Pixel 3 Lite in December 2018 or at some point in the first quarter of 2019. The brand is reportedly making another budget model codenamed Bonito with a Snapdragon 710 SoC. There haven’t been any sightings of that yet.
