Another day, another Galaxy S10 leak. This time, it’s the camera configuration of the phone series that’s up for discussion. A couple of reports in the past have suggested that Samsung is going to fit four cameras into the back of the Galaxy S10+, but a new one begs to differ.
As per frequent tipster Ice Universe, the Galaxy S10 Lite will have a single front-facing lens and two rear snappers. The standard Galaxy S10 may grab one selfie shooter and three rear cameras. Finally, the premium Galaxy S10+ could pack two selfie lenses and three rear snappers.
Quad-Camera Samsung Galaxy S10 5G?
The tweet didn’t mention the ultimate 5G version of the Galaxy S10. That particular model is still expected to pack 4 cameras at the back and two up front. Perhaps Samsung wanted to further differentiate between the regular S10 series and the special 5G one by giving the latter an extra lens.
All the versions mentioned above are almost certainly going to sport an Infinity-O type of display. The screen for all four will probably feature a hole at the top-right corner to house the selfie shooter. The Galaxy S10+ and 5G Galaxy S10 will have a larger hole or two holes since they have two selfie snappers.
It’s not clear what Samsung is planning to do with all these cameras floating about. After the lackluster reception to the Galaxy S9, it seems to be pulling out all the stops to make sure the S10 is a hit. It’s even retaining the 3.5mm headphone jack to appease its customer base. It was apparently thinking of letting the port go.
Samsung may eventually do so with the Galaxy Note 10. Its recent Galaxy A8s doesn’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack, so we know it’s not against the concept. The smartphone is also notable for having an Infinity-O panel, serving as a kind of sneak peek at what the company is planning for its flagship lineup.
