The ZenFone 5Z has officially gone up for sale in India, about a week after it got launched in the country and a couple of months after its MWC 2018 debut. The handset is being pitted as a worthy rival to the OnePlus 6 at a lower price point.
Asus has announced the ZenFone 5Z in 3 variants. The 6GB/64GB option costs at Rs 29999, the 6GB/128GB model costs Rs 32999, and the premium 8GB/256GB version costs Rs 36999. In comparison, the OnePlus 6 starts at Rs 34999 for its 6GB/64GB combination, climbs up to Rs 39999 for its 8GB/128GB configuration, and ends at Rs 44999 for its 8GB/256GB iteration.
Asus ZenFone 5Z Features
The ZenFone 5Z has a lot to offer, from its 6.2-inch FHD+ 19:9 screen to its Snapdragon 845 processor. It carries a 12MP + 8MP dual-camera setup at the back. The main lens comes with a Sony IMX363 sensor, a 1.4um pixel size, f/1.8 aperture, dual-pixel PDAF, OIS, 4K video recording, and EIS.
The secondary shooter features a 120-degree wide-angle lens which is supposed to provide a 200% wider view. The Asus phone’s 8MP selfie snapper does double duty as a face scanner. There’s a fingerprint scanner at the back for those who prefer using their hands instead of their face.

Flipkart is only selling the ZenFone 5Z’s 6GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB versions at the moment. The 8GB/256GB model will arrive after 2 weeks. As for launch deals, ICICI credit and debit card holders get a flat Rs 3000 discount. Reliance Jio users will get Rs 2200 in cashback and 100GB of extra data.
