HMD Global has brought a trio of new Nokia phones to India, launching the Nokia 6 (2018), Nokia 7 Plus, and Nokia 8 Sirocco in the country. The 3 made its first appearance at the MWC 2018 back in February beside the Nokia 1 and Nokia 8110 4G.
The Nokia smartphones are part of the Android One program, so each device will run on a pure version of Android and get timely OS updates for 2 years. All 3 run on Oreo at the moment, so an Android P update should happen soon after the software comes out in August.
The Nokia 6 (2018) is the cheapest of the bunch, retailing at Rs 16999 for a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of ROM variant. If it follows the same pattern as its 2017 counterpart, the device should get a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM option as well. It’ll be sold via offline shops and the brand’s website in Black/Copper, White/Iron, and Blue/Gold colors from April 6.
The Nokia 7 Plus has been paired with a Rs 25999 price tag. It’ll be available via Amazon India, physical retailers, and the company’s eStore in Black/Copper and White/Copper colors. It’s the first handset by the manufacturer to have an 18:9 aspect ratio on its 6-inch FHD+ screen.
