Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line Snapdragon 845 processor hit the spotlight earlier this month and is set to be the centerpiece of many flagship phones in 2018. While you might be wondering which handsets in particular will be carrying the chipset, you won’t have to wonder for too long since a Weibo tipster has leaked a list of devices which will be using the SoC.
What makes the list even more interesting is the fact that it also contains the months in which each is coming out. It’s a pretty comprehensive roadmap, but it should ideally be taken with a pinch of salt since the source is unverified.
As per the leak, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are arriving on the scene in February 2018. This is in line with previous rumors, with most pointing towards a MWC 2018 debut late that month. Rivaling the pair will be LG’s own G7 and G7+, both of which will presumably come out at around the same time.
March is then skipped over for April when the Xiaomi Mi 7 is finally emerging out of the shadows. There has been plenty of speculation about the phone, so it’s nice to see it get a tentative launch date. The HTC U12 will take up the mantle in May as the brand’s flagship offering.
June sees a trio of devices namely the OnePlus 6, Sony Xperia XZ Pro-A, and ZTE Nubia Z18. The first was said to be getting unveiled in March, but this list suggests otherwise. August might see the arrival of the Nokia 10, which means the Nokia 9 may well be on its way in January 2018 as predicted.
Moving on, September could witness the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, Xiaomi Mi Mix 3, and LG V40. October might see 4 phones one after the other including the Google Pixel 3 XL, HTC U12+, Sony Xperia XZ2, and ZTE Nubia Z18S.
Wrapping up the year is the Moto Z 2019 in November and the OnePlus 6T and Samsung W2019 in December. Of course, there might be other smartphones which run on the Snapdragon 845 chip over the course of 2018, but this list focuses on the biggest names.
