Coolpad has announced the Cool Play 6 in India and plans to sell the phone exclusively via Amazon. The manufacturer’s hopping on the dual camera trend for its flagship offering, placing two 13MP lenses on its back.
The Cool Play 6 will set interested buyers back by Rs 14999. At that price, its top highlights are the aforementioned twin lenses and its ample 6GB of RAM. Neither is that common in the mid-range market sector, but the actual performance of the handset will depend on several different factors.
The 6GB of RAM is joined by a Snapdragon 653 processor to handle the Cool Play 6’s exertions. As for the dual cameras, the setup has been equipped with an aperture of f/2.0, 4K video recording support, dual-tone LED flash, and phase detection autofocus. The 8MP selfie camera up front has gotten hold of a f/2.2 aperture.
Android 7.1.1 Nougat runs at the heart of the Coolpad offering with a layer of the company’s Journey UI on top. The brand is promising buyers that it’ll deliver Android 8.0 by December 2017, a timely promise since the next-gen OS’ launch is right around the corner.
