At the launch event of the Vivo V5, the Chinese company had also teased a certain V5 Plus, and it seems the time has come for it to be unveiled. January 23 has just been announced to be the date on which this phone will be showcased for the first time.
The ace up the sleeve of the Vivo V5 Plus is its dual front camera setup. Reiterating the company’s focus on selfie phones, this device has been designed for those who just can’t stop themselves from clicking their own photographs.
The Vivo V5 was a product of this same approach, the proof being its 20MP main camera which dwarfs its 13MP back snapper. Another unique aspect about this phone was its front-facing flash which is called the Moonlight flash. It basically flashes diffused light to try not to harsh out the exposure. There’s no word on what the specifications of the V5 Plus will be, and same can be said about its price. We can guess that it will adopt most of the specs of the regular V5 which comes with a 5.5-inch 720p display, an octa core CPU, 4GB of RAM and a 3000mAh battery.
Another phone in the market right now which offers dual selfie cameras is the Lenovo Vibe S1. An 8MP camera and a 2MP camera sit on its front surface to offer enhanced depth of field and other unique effects.
We’ll bring you more on the Vivo V5 Plus as and when additional information becomes available.
