Someone from Samsung leaked the specifications of the upcoming Galaxy S7 smartphone that’s expected to be unveiled before the MWC in Barcelona. Since the expo will take place from February 22 to 25, and the mobile giant will want all eyes on the Samsung Galaxy S7, it may be shown at least a day or two before said event.
According to the story, key details of the S7 were leaked via an internal presentation slide sent by Samsung. It shows the next Galaxy flagship beside the S5 and S6. The more sensible concept images of the smartphone depict it with a familiar body since the South Korean company is not anticipated to change much in terms of design.
So the Samsung Galaxy S7 could pretty much look like the S6, aside from a few barely noticeable aesthetic tweaks. It’s the internals which have been revamped, going by the image published on Phone Arena. The handset is shown to feature a 5.1-inch 1440p resolution display and 4GB RAM. Its main snapper may be a 12MP BRITECELL camera.
Although Samsung gave Qualcomm a wide berth when it made the Galaxy S6, the Galaxy S7 might just sport a Snapdragon 820 processor in select markets. The phone will supposedly embed an Exynos 8890 chipset in other regions. The presentation slide makes no mention of the Edge variant, and could be faked easily. On the other hand, we’re quite close to its launch and leaks like this happen.
Still, it’d be well advised to treat the news cautiously. Prolific leakster Evan Blass, has hinted that the Galaxy S7 would be made available in the US on March 11. Samsung has been releasing its recent flagships in India pretty soon after unveiling them. Get ready with your wallets!
