Lenovo K4 Note Release Date Confirmed

Press invites have started going out for the launch of the Lenovo K4 Note in India. As you can see, its release date has been officially confirmed as January 5. The Killer Note 2016 (as the company calls it) will be unveiled in the country at an event in New Delhi.

The older K3 Note came with a 1.7GHz octa core Mediatek MT6752 processor, Android Lollipop with the company’s homegrown Vibe UI, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, a 13MP main camera, a 5MP front-facing lens and a 3000mAh battery. Its exterior was made up of polycarbonate with a matte finish.

Even though very little has been revealed about the Lenovo K4 Note, you can bet it will sport a metal body. The teaser image of the phablet falling down to earth like some sort of meteorite rock seems to indicate that much at least. So what are the expected changes apart from a metal facade?

Lenovo K4 Note Invitation

Lenovo has announced through its social media channels that the K4 Note will bulk up on RAM. Instead of 2GB, potential users can look forward to 3GB RAM. The company might add more memory aboard too, upping it from 16GB to 32GB in the upcoming smartphone.

Speculations are rife that the Lenovo K4 Note will have a fingerprint sensor to unlock it. It’s possible that the MediaTek Helio X10 will make it into the specifications list. There’s no word on whether Android Marshmallow or Lollipop will find its way onto the device.

In case Lenovo’s putting better cameras on the K4 Note, we think the price might be bumped up by quite a bit. Its predecessor cost Rs 9999 at launch. So the forthcoming handset is likely to be pegged at Rs 12999 at least.
