The Xiaomi Mi 4i has been available in India since quite a long time, but only in the form of white and dark gray color options. That has changed now, even as three new ‘Limited Edition’ shades of the device have entered India, and are ready to go on sale soon.
Today also saw the global launch of MIUI 7 in New Delhi, and it was only last week that this ROM was unveiled in China. The software in question adds 4 default themes in the form of Rosé, Pink Blush, Ocean Breeze and High Life.
Xiaomi’s MIUI 7 also brings with it better battery life and improved performance, while it adds other features like XXL text, a Child Mode and the ability to set video ringtones. Moreover, for those who get annoyed by the voice prompts on calling customer care numbers, the software’s new Interactive Visual Response (IVR) feature lists out the prompts on the screen.
Coming back to the Mi 4i Limited Edition, this phone will be purchasable through Mi.com from August 25 onwards. It seems these devices will only be sold in the form of 16GB models, meaning they will be priced at Rs 12999.
