Yu Yunique is an impressive 4G device priced at just Rs 4999

The cheapest 4G LTE smartphones in India now have one more device among them in the form of the new Yu Yunique which has its price set at just Rs 4999. What impresses is its highly decent specs list which does not suit a phone from this category.

An important thing about the Yu Yunique is that it will be sold exclusively by Snapdeal; not by Amazon which is the usual exclusive seller of the Micromax-owned company’s smartphones. The device’s first flash sale will be held on September 15.

The Yunique has been fitted with a 4.7-inch 720p HD display and a 1.2GHz quad core Snapdragon 410 CPU. This processor is assisted in its operations by a 1GB RAM module, while 8GB worth of storage is also present for satisfying the hoarding needs of its buyers.

As for the software, it’s indeed the Android Lollipop-based Cyanogen OS 12.1 that has been infused into it. However, its makers have also revealed that the Yunique can be purchased with stock Android 5.1 onboard as well. We’re not sure how this will work, but it’s great to see a company offer such a unique option.
