It’ll cost you $49 to wood up your OnePlus One with bamboo

As promised, the OnePlus One can be customized with a natural bamboo finish through the recently unveiled StyleSwap cover. The case has been listed on the company’s website and it will be available for $49. However, you’ll have to wait until the end of August for the accessory to be in stock.

The bamboo StyleSwap cover for the OnePlus One is just one of the several options which have been promised by the company. You can also anticipate the accessory to come in silk, sandstone, denim, bamboo and Kevlar options. And by the looks of things, we wouldn’t expect seeing them debut anytime soon, at least not in the next couple of months.

The cover is basically a replaceable rear panel for the handset, so you’ll be able to attach it without much effort (procedure involves removing SIM card tray). Additionally, you’ll also be able to purchase the silk white and sandstone black cases for $29. The flagship ‘killer’ smartphone has been the talk of the town and it’s one of the most affordable high-end devices on the market.

However, delays and slow roll-out, amongst others have hampered the brand’s image. The company is yet to announce general availability of the device, making it late to the market. And to make matters worse, the handset is only available in select locations.

As mentioned above, the bamboo StyleSwap cover for the OnePlus One will be in stock by August end for $49. We’ll keep you updated with more information on the other options when available.
