New Samsung smartphones show up pretty often in leaks, but what’s interesting about the SM-G750A is that it looks to be a mid-range handset with beefy specifications. Rumor has it that the device could just be the Galaxy S5 mini or the Neo, but it’s too early to make such assumptions.
Dutch website Galaxy Club has spotted the Samsung SM-G750A in the company’s user agent profile. The handset is shown to carry a 2.3GHz quad core Snapdragon 800 processor and a 720p display, bringing up the possibility that the South Korean conglomerate might be preparing the Galaxy S5 mini as a no-compromise mini flagship like what Sony did with the Xperia Compact. Apart from this, the specs could also be from the rumored Galaxy S5 Neo, considering that the Note 3 Neo also has similar components.
Additionally, the handset runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. The Samsung SM-G750A is most likely a prototype, so the aforementioned specs could change in the future. In the Galaxy S5 flagship series, the company is also planning to launch an Active and Zoom variant. The former device is expected to have a rugged form factor and water resistance greater than what’s available on the current flagship. The latter, on the other hand, will focus mainly on imaging and alleged specs of the device have already been leaked.
Here are the rumored features of the S5 Zoom:
– Exynos 5 Hexa processor
– Mali T624 GPU
– 4.8-inch 720p display
– Android KitKat
– 2GB RAM, 8GB storage
– 20MP main camera
Like we mentioned above, it’s too early to speculate, but one thing is certain that Samsung is working on new high-end smartphones.
