Micromax Canvas Win smartphones powered by Windows Phone 8.1 unveiled for India

The partnership between Microsoft and Micromax which was announced during the launch of Windows Phone 8.1 has finally seen fruit, even as the latter has unveiled its new Canvas Win range of smartphones in India. Two devices named W121 and W092 have been showcased by the company, with their prices set at Rs 9,500 and Rs 6,500, respectively.

The Micromax Canvas W121 is the more burly one among the two in terms of specs. It carries on its front a 5-inch IPS display garnering an HD resolution of 720p. This phone is fueled by a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor which is backed by 1GB worth of RAM.

It comes equipped with an 8MP rear camera (with LED flash) and a 2MP front snapper. The Canvas W121 benefits from 8GB of storage and a microSD card slot, amongst other respectable components.

Both these Windows Phone 8.1-powered handsets offer dual SIM capability, making them two of the earliest such devices to offer this attribute. The Micromax Canvas Win W121 and W092 smartphones will be made available sometime in July this year.
