LG G3 getting Android 5.0 Lollipop update in the UK

The LG G3 smartphone which happens to be the company’s flagship for this year, is rightfully being enhanced with its Android 5.0 Lollipop update in the UK right now. The South Korean giant is one of the first third-party manufacturers to dish out the newest version of Google’s OS for its devices.

As reported by Android Central, those on Vodafone UK are the ones who are receiving the update right now. Android 5.0 Lollipop on the LG G3 of course comes layered with the company’s own UI on top of it, but basic features like the new ART run-time, the fresh notifications tray, better battery management, increased security and more have made their way into it

This update for the G3 was first launched in Poland and South Korea last month, while it’s now that it has made its way into the UK. There’s no word out regarding when it will be seen hitting North America and other important territories in the world.

While fierce rival Samsung has started offering the same update to its Galaxy S5 already, another biggie HTC is still to launch its build for its flagships.
