Is your Xiaomi Redmi 1S heating way too much? This newly released update will fix that

Since August, the Xiaomi Redmi 1S has been making its mark in India, but there have been several reports of the device heating up, sometimes even above 45 degrees Celsius which isn’t really good for the battery and processor. It is this defect that a newly released update for the phone is addressing, while it has also been equipped with a number of other fixes and enhancements.

Xiaomi’s vice president and former Google product manager, Hugo Barra has revealed that an OTA system update is currently being rolled out in India for owners of the Redmi 1S to fix the heating problem. It contains a newly crafted thermal control algorithm that’s aimed at regulating the temperature and keeping it under 38 degrees Celsius in normal usage conditions.
