Vodafone Smart 4 mini is a £50 Android phone

Vodafone UK has been launching affordable devices under its own Smart brand for a long time now and its latest addition, the Smart 4 mini, comes with a very affordable price tag of just £50. The handset can be picked up with a pay as you subscription and it comes with entry-level specifications.

The Vodafone Smart 4 mini is an upgraded version of the Smart 3. The device is aimed towards first-time smartphone customers, allowing them to tap into the numerous features offered by Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Design-wise, the phone is pretty basic-looking. It has a 4-inch WVGA display and capacitive navigation buttons, but no camera on the front, while the rear dons a loudspeaker and a 3.15MP lens accompanied by the Vodafone logo.

Like its predecessor, the Vodafone Smart 4 mini has just 512MB of RAM, but the processing speed has been doubled with the addition of a 1.3GHz dual core processor instead of a single core one. The internal memory is listed as 4GB and you get a microSD card slot which supports up to 32GB. The device also offers access to the Google Play store and it supports 3G HSPA along with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0.

The Smart 4 mini is Vodafone’s most affordable smartphone and it can be purchased through the carrier’s online store. It’s a pretty good deal for £50 and you won’t have to sign up for any lengthy contract.
