LG G2 headed to US for mid-September launch, now that seems quick

Now that the LG G2 is official and to be available in the US, the main question is – When will it go on sale? So far, only T-Mobile and Sprint have confirmed to stock the handset and the others are still keeping mum. But thanks to a recent report, we’ve got quite an insight on the device’s availability in the country.

The LG G2 has been priced in the US already. Retailer Negri Electronics has listed the device unlocked for pre-order at $619.50. Additionally, the phone is headed to Canada this fall and it can be booked in the UK as well, through multiple retailers. It’s confirmed to launch via carriers such as Three and O2. Sources familiar with the company’s plans have informed Android Central that the phone will land at Verizon on September 12, while AT&T will receive it a day later. There’s no word on when Sprint and T-Mobile will get their shipments. However, mid-September is the launch window for the US.

LG G2

The LG G2 is amongst the first smartphones to go official with a Snapdragon 800 SOC onboard. It packs a 5.2-inch full HD IPS touchscreen with 423ppi pixel density, 2GB of RAM, a 13MP camera, a 3000mAh battery, 16GB or 32GB options of storage and a lot more within an 8.9mm thick profile. The Android 4.2 OS runs the show and an update to version 4.3 Jelly Bean is expected to arrive soon.

So, we known that the LG G2 is going to be launched in the US by mid-September, but what about the price? Well, there’s still no word on that front and we’ll just have to wait a little longer for those details to surface.
