LG Optimus G Pro to hit 40 new nations soon

LG Optimus G Pro

It has been revealed that the much appreciated LG Optimus G Pro smartphone is all set to hit availability status in yet more regions during this quarter. A total of 40 countries will be getting this device in their markets, including those from Europe, Central America, South America, Middle East, Africa and the Commonwealth of Independent States. Regarding its arrival in the UK however, things don’t look peachy.

Following the announcement of the LG Optimus G Pro rollout in these particular territories, the absence of UK from this list didn’t take long to be spotted. Engadget contacted representatives of the company in the said region and received a reply which mentioned that the South Korean giant has ‘no further update from a UK availability perspective’ for its flagship smartphone. For now, customers from the United Kingdom can forget about seeing the handset anytime soon.

The global model of the LG Optimus G Pro comes fitted with a 5.5-inch full HD monitor which also grabs a coat of Corning Gorilla Glass 2. Its Android 4.1 OS has been layered by its maker with its own interface which adds a number of fresh features over the earlier version. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chipset makes its way into the LG Optimus G Pro, offering the benefits of a 1.7GHz quad core processor and an Adreno 320 GPU clocked at 400MHz. There’s 2GB worth of RAM present on it as well.

The Optimus G Pro has already landed in North America and Asia, and as it gears up to hit other territories around the world, we can expect the company’s hold on the global market to get a lot stronger than it is right now.
