Samsung Galaxy Pro

Though Samsung is best known for its touch phones, the Galaxy Pro in India seems to be enjoying attention and it’s still being sold through various online portals at a budget price. Hunting down QWERTY keyboard-equipped Android smartphones nowadays is tough enough as it is and finding a reasonably tagged one, even more so.

Since the Samsung Galaxy Pro B7510 sports a physical keypad, the size of the touchscreen is naturally sacrificed. It spans across 2.8 inches on the front of the 10.6mmx 66.7mm x 108.6mm chassis. The South Korean manufacturer released it with a helping of Froyo back in 2011. The device was offered an update to Gingerbread at a later stage. It’s unlikely that any amount of wishful thinking will get the OS bumped up to ICS or Jelly Bean in the future.

But it’s still a good buy if a QWERTY keypad, Android and a touch display are on users’ list of expected features. Staying in line with the mid-range specs, there’s a very basic 3MP camera on the back panel. It is helped along by auto-focus, ISO support and several white balance levels. Since the Samsung Galaxy Pro B7510 is focused on professionals, it comes equipped with ThinkFree Office which enables creating and editing documents right from the modest-sized screen.
