LG G Flex designed to sit comfortably against your …

Uh-oh, LG has been rather careless with keeping its press shots secret till the last minute. Images of the G Flex smartphone have been leaked and they flaunt the device’s unusual curve from three different angles.

There’s no denying it; the G Flex is a ‘revolution in design’ for those of us who love keeping our handsets in our back pockets. Add to this the fact that the screen used in its production is really tough. The ‘unbreakable’ quality of the display has to do with it being created out of plastic instead of glass.

LG G Flex Side Profile

The images come courtesy of Engadget who has also confirmed the bit about the G Flex sporting a 6-inch screen. If the evidence isn’t actually Photoshop-ped renders, then LG took a totally different approach to the way it chose to bend its phone as compared to Samsung (as you can see from the picture below).

Rumored LG G Flex specs:

– 6-inch, 720p resolution, curved display
– Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 OS
– 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 MSM8974 chip
– Adreno 330 graphics power
LG Chem curved battery

Samsung Galaxy Round

All of this being said, the phone won’t be bendable. It’s only the flexibility of the screen which allows LG to mold the device into its unusual form factor. We can picture the Samsung Round resting comfortably against the curve of our thigh when the handset’s placed in the front pocket. But this weirdly shaped LG phone? We don’t know.

According to previous reports, the G Flex should be launched in November. And since Samsung is already out with the Round, we’re assuming LG will want to hurry up and unveil it early next month.
