Samsung Galaxy S4 cheaper by Rs 5,000 in India

Samsung Galaxy S4

The Samsung Smart Upgrade is also open for another new device apart from the Note 2 – the Galaxy S4. With this exchange offer, buyers can look forward to the Samsung Galaxy S4 priced at Rs 36,500. That’s a Rs 5,000 discount on the MRP and lesser than what other major retailers in India are selling it at.

Just like the deal we reported some time ago, Samsung will let customers trade in their old smartphone for the Galaxy S4 which carries an original tag of Rs 41,500 before the discount. Until stocks last, buyers will also get an S-View Cover which has a convenient cut-out window for answering calls and carrying out a few other functions without flipping open the case.

Samsung has been pushing sales aggressively for quite some time and this latest scheme even brings in a free onetime screen replacement option worth Rs 7,000 apart from a couple of other offers. Those who don’t want to pony up the entire sum in one go can also opt for 12 EMI payments at Rs 3,041 per month and 0% interest.

Although the South Korean company has been jostling for space with Apple, we don’t know if a Rs 5,000 discount is big enough to keep the iPhone 5 (or iPhone 5S or iPhone Lite, perhaps?) threat at bay. Meanwhile, here are some online retailers delivering a rate cut of sorts on the Samsung handset’s MRP.

– eBay.in has a very suspiciously marked down Galaxy S4 being vended at Rs 26,700.

Snapdeal is selling the Galaxy S4 for Rs 37,999.

Flipkart will deliver you the Galaxy S4 for Rs 38,999.

– Saholic, Infibeam, HomeShop18 and Indiatimes Shopping have the Galaxy S4 up for Rs 40,690 at present.
