Lenovo K900 price and release date rumored

Lenovo K900

A price for the Lenovo K900 has leaked along with a few details of the device that we saw announced in January, which include a release date. This means it should be the first smartphone to come with an Intel processor and sport a 1080p display. The talk is that production has already begun and that the handset is headed to China.

The K900 was initially heard of in January this year and at that time it came with IdeaPhone tagging. It was revealed that the device was built keeping performance in mind which was to be delivered with good looks. The company wanted to try to recapture a bit of its lost form, while providing top-end features to customers.

It is to have a very slim form factor and to that effect is to measure just about 6.99mm in thickness. When it comes to unibody design, either stainless steel or polycarbonate is the material of choice and smartphones generally chose one or the other. But the Lenovo handset uses a combination of both, due to which its overall weight is capped at 162 grams.

IdeaPhone

According to Unwired View, Chinese site MyDrivers is reporting that, from early estimations, the handset is expected to sell for about 2,999 Yuan, although the final value hasn’t been decided upon yet. Based on current currency conversion rates, this amounts to about $482, or £324, or €370. In terms of when the phone will be released, the rumor says it will hit stores in said nation on April 17, 2013. And this seems to match up with what has previously been said.

Coming to the specs, the device will likely have 2GB of RAM, a 13MP primary snapper on the back, 16GB of internal storage space and a microSD card slot for expansion. It is thought that it will make use of Intel’s Atom Z2580 Clover Trail+ chipset, which is the chipmaker’s most advanced mobile offering at present. There should also be a 5.5-inch 1080p touch screen.

There is no word on whether the Lenovo K900 will come to other markets, but as it stands we have about a month to go to see just how well this rumor pans out.
