Playing multimedia content anytime, anywhere is the motto behind the new Samsung Galaxy Beam projector smartphone which was unfurled by the company at the ongoing MWC 2012. Equipped with a 1.0GHz dual-core processor, this handset allows for the beaming of photos, videos and other digital data directly onto walls, ceilings or any other flat surfaces with the help of its 15 lumens projector.

This device comes packed with a slice of Android Gingerbread OS and possesses a 5MP camera as well as a 1.3MP front facing snapper. Providing juice for its power-consuming offerings is a 2000 mAh battery which is doled out with the device. Apart from a 1.0GHz dual-core processor, the Galaxy Beam also kicks in 768MB RAM and 8GB of internal memory.

The 4-inch display of the Beam proffers up to 480 x 800 WVGA TFT resolutions. Moreover, standard connectivity features such as Bluetooth 3.0+HS, 802.11 b/g/n 2.4GHz, microUSB, USB 2.0 and a 3.5mm ear jack also make their way into this smartphone.

Unveiled at the ongoing MWC 2012, the Samsung Galaxy Beam smartphone is yet to be endowed with the exact price and availability details.
