If the Optimus LTE 2 was not enough to turn the spotlight to itself, the Korea-based conglomerate has now announced the arrival of the LG Optimus L7. Although the exact release date and price details have not been spelled out, the L7 will be made available this week itself in Europe, that’s much before the Samsung Galaxy S III starts rolling out.

The phone based on the Android 4.0 OS, tags along a number of Google Mobile services and access to the Google Play Store along with the attributes offered by the ICS platform. Its sleek chassis measures not more than 8.7mm and flaunts a WVGA 4.3-inch diagonal multi-touch screen. The device adheres to the L-style philosophy and features metallic edges along with an eye-catching key arrangement.

“For consumers desiring high-end style and sophistication in a smartphone, LG Optimus L7 offers beauty and performance in one smart package. The L7 is a significant addition to our L-Series portfolio and we are confident that it’ll prove highly attractive to users. We expect it to be one of our most popular smartphones,” commented Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.

The internal working of the smartphone is carried out under the supervision of the Cortex A5 MSM 7227A chipset running at a speed of 1GHz. This handset is armed with a 5MP camera possessing LED flash as well as a front-facing VGA webcam along with an expansion slot for a microSD card of up to 32GB capacity. The 1,750mAh battery should cough up the juice for talk time that lasts throughout the day.

As mentioned above, the LG Optimus L7 release date and price are not clear, but it will hit store shelves in Europe this month. It will toddle into Asia and some other regions soon after.
