Today at India On, HTC along with Qualcomm announced the glasses-free Evo 3D smartphone. The highlight of the device is its ability to capture as well as view in 3D with the integrated QHD display. Moreover, the 3D Evo smartphone promises to deliver a glasses-free mobile viewing experience.
The company talks about numerous ways which would enable users capture and playback video in 3D, be it personal or professional. The HTC 3D Evo smartphone blends in 3D 720p video capture with the newest HTC Sense version for an elevated user experience. The DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) capability offers quick and simple sharing of content with several other DLNA-certified devices. Using an HDMI cable which isn’t part of the bundle, users can share 3D content on 3D TVs.

Powered by Qualcomm 1.2GHz Snapdragon dual-core processor, the HTC EVO 3D spec sheet scribbles down a dual 5 megapixel camera for 3D photos and videos, 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, microSD card slot up to 32GB, Wi-Fi, Stereo Bluetooth, GPS and 3G mobile hotspot capability. The device runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and tags along other Google services such as Google Maps, Google Search, and so on.
The HTC EVO 3D smartphone will hit stores at a price of Rs. 35,990 (could vary depending upon local applicable taxes) via authorized HTC resellers in India.
