Already familiar with the myTouch 3G Slide? There’s a new version to look forward to next month as the T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide is prepared for launch with Gingerbread and an 8MP camera. The smartphone’s manufacturer has been touted as HTC and it marries Android 2.3 to the HTC Sense 3.0 experience.
The snapper on this one is the highlighted feature with its backside illuminated sensor and dual LED flash attribute. It boasts of an f/2.2 wide aperture lens and seems to deliver absolutely no shutter lag. The camera can capture panoramic shots with SweepShot and 1,080p videos. It’s also supported by ClearShot HDR and BurstShot technologies.

Our newest myTouch device takes capturing and sharing memories to a new level by combining high-quality smartphone hardware with features that customers would expect from a top-of-the-line digital camera,” enthused Andrew Sherrard, senior vice president, marketing, T-Mobile USA.
Among the main specs, the T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide has a 3.7” WVGA super LCD touchscreen, a slide-out full QWERTY keypad and Swype for the virtual keyboard. It runs on a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and lands pre-loaded with T-Mobile Video Chat. The other pre-installed applications cover T-Mobile KidZone, Genius Button, T-Mobile TV, YouTube and Netflix.
For those who don’t like the idea of a T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide in black, there’s a khaki option to pick instead. Come July and the carrier will sell it for $199.99 on a two-year customer contract and data plan.
