The Nokia Asha 303, 300, 200 and 201 phones introduced at the Nokia World 2011 are set to fill the wallet-friendly category with more choice. According to the Nokia Conversations blog, the attractive Nokia Asha series phones can be used to surf the web, visit social networking websites, enjoy music and much more.
The Nokia Asha 303 available in shades of purple, red, aqua, white, silver, graphite and green, is reinforced with a metallic finish. Adorned with a 2.6-inch touchscreen, it comes with a physical QWERTY keypad. The device running on a 1GHz processor supports the upgraded Nokia Browser while possessing Wi-Fi and 3G capabilities. Besides music playback of about 40 hours, the 303 provides talktime of up to 8 hours. It is equipped with a 3.2MP camera and comes pre-installed with Angry Birds Lite, Facebook Chat, Whatsapp and more.
Similar to its counterpart, the Nokia Asha 300 also features a touchscreen, physical keypad and 1GHz processor along with the upgraded Nokia Browser. In addition to its 2.4-inch resistive display, the phone features a 5MP camera capable of recording videos at 25 frames per second. The sleek 3G enabled device is integrated with a music player and FM radio. It will be available in hues of gold, silver, red, pink amongst others and is pre-installed with Angry Birds Lite. Also, it promises a battery life of about 6.9 hours and a standby time of approximately 22 days.
Next in the series is the Nokia Asha 200 dual SIM phone with Easy Swap to switch between SIM cards without turning it off. And like most other Nokia dual SIM phones, it can be customized to remember settings of up to five SIM cards. This light device is fitted with a camera of 2MP resolutions and supports memory cards of up to 32GB. Allowing instant access to social networking websites, emails and IM, it can cough up the juice for about 7 hours and play music for up to 52 hours.
The Nokia Asha 201 is especially engineered for young music enthusiasts and incorporated with loudspeakers and FM radio. This single SIM version of the Asha 200 too sports a full QWERTY keyboard and employs a 2MP camera with 4x digital zoom. This device outfitted with a 2.4-inch QVGA display offers one-click access to SNS, Whatsapp, Facebook Chat and other applications.
The Nokia Asha 303, 300 and 200 carry price tags of €115, €85 and €60, respectively and will be available before the end of this year. The Nokia Asha 201 is expected to be priced at around €60 and is lined for launch in early 2012.
